Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at points in our lives. Through treatment, I can help you gain motivation, perspective, and joy in your life.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) is recommended as a first-line treatment for these difficulties by NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence). I am a registered Clinical Psychologist and accredited by the BABCP (British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies) to provide CBT and you can find me on their register. I also use Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and other mindfulness-based approaches where appropriate.
Anxiety Disorders:
I specialise in working with individuals experiencing anxiety disorders using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy CBT. This may be one or more of the following problems:
I have experience of working with people adjusting to long-term physical health problems that have included management of long-term pain as well as early stage Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS) using CBT therapy. Please contact me if you would like to discuss whether I can help further.
Since the COVID pandemic, the majority of sessions are provided online via Zoom. These can be held from the comfort of your own home.
There is growing evidence that therapy delivered via video conferencing is just as effective as face-to-face.
I am also able to see people in person at rooms in Chippenham.
